Jim Burress, Board Member

Jim Burress recently retired after 32 years as Director of Finance for the Preservation Society of Newport County (the Newport Mansions). He attended St. John’s College in Annapolis, MD and received a master’s degree in accounting from Georgetown University. Prior to joining PSNC, Jim worked for 11 years for a Congressman in Washington, D.C., and for 10 years in public accounting in Washington and Newport. He is married and has a daughter who is a therapist in Denver and a son who works for Apple in Seattle. As members of the choir of Trinity Church, Newport, Jim and his wife are occasional collaborators in Choir School concerts.
